Chair of the Board and CEO

I have been involved with Carers Trust, after my middle son was diagnosed with autism, and was put forward for a referral some 16 years ago. My son used the weekend day activity centre for a number of years, and I can certainly say I was very grateful of the respite that we received, being able to do something with my other two children. My husband is also in care following a motorbike accident in 2009, so I have complete empathy being a carer myself on how having some respite becomes a lifeline.

It was certainly an honour and pleasure being invited to be on the Board of Trustees at CTMY and since December 2023, CEO of the organisation, being part of a team of people whom are so passionate about what they do.

My interest in becoming a board member, whilst curious to know how things are run, was an understanding of how things really do work, behind the scenes within a care provider, such as: CQC, policies and procedures that sometimes as a parent carer, we do not get to understand. And of course, being able to give something back.

In my working life, I started my career at the investment bank, Morgan Stanley within Operational Strategy, and positions since have resulted in my being a shareholder and board executive for a manufacturing company for the last 14 years as well as Chair of the same board.

Proud to be a part of CTMY and serving all the employees, carers and cared for,

Annabelle Hill
