Your help makes a real difference
Like many charities, we rely on receiving help from the wider communities to which we operate within. It is widely reported of the crisis in social care and this does not appear to be getting better in the long term. More and more people are having to manage the care for their loved ones with support being reduced again and again with many carers being at breaking point.
Your contribution can provide a family with essential services. For as little as £25, we can provide a family with the ability for their loved one to receive companionship, a community outing, personal hygiene assistance and the carer receives respite. Your help benefits two people not just one person, alleviating some of their stress.
With your help we can transform the lives of unpaid carers through the UK.
Donations
Any donation, no matter what amount helps. If you are a tax payer, gift aid can be claimed and this increases the amount donated to us.
By providing a charitable gift in a will, whilst being of benefit to unpaid carers, this gift is also tax free and can reduce the rate of inheritance tax payable. Eg. If 10% of your taxable estate is gifted to charity, then inheritance tax reduces from 40% to 36%. Every £100 gifted to charity in effect ‘costs’ your estate £24.
In memory… often, people choose a charity in lieu of flowers for donations in memory of a person or loved one that has passed. If you know of someone desperately needing care, your donation in memory of someone can assist someone else. Donations can be made via our online Just Giving page.
Fundraising
There are many ways to fund for us as a national organisation or more locally in our specific region. Whether you want to rub, bake sing or shop. You will be helping towards the 7 million plus unpaid cares in the UK.

Locally we have events that we hold from disco nights, race evenings, 24 hour sports events – we try them all, please do look out for these on our social media sites, or by accessing our News page.
We have partnered with Easyfundraising…. You buy what you do and you can help someone at the same time. Here’s how it works:

2. Shop: Before making any online purchases, go to easyfundraising first, select your desired retailer from their list (which includes nearly 3,000 retailers like Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline, and Sainsbury’s), and start shopping.
3. Raise: After you complete your purchase, the retailer will donate to Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire at no extra cost to you!
