Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire are a dedicated charity committed to providing respite care for unpaid carers, offering them much-needed breaks by stepping in to care for their loved ones. Our mission is to provide the highest quality services to unpaid carers in Kirklees, Calderdale, Leeds and Wakefield no matter their needs, background, culture or preferences
The Role
We are now looking for our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide the highest level of leadership to work with the organisations senior team to achieve Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire strategic objectives in accordance with the requirements of the Trustees and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead the charity to flourish in its provision of delivering respite to unpaid carers navigating the organisation through the delivery of its strategic objectives.
You will take charge of shaping strategic partnerships, acting as an ambassador for the organisation and our national partner, Carers Trust. By cultivating relationships with external stakeholders, you will create opportunities that advance our mission and enhance community support for unpaid carers. Effective communication will be crucial, as you ensure all strategic changes and decisions are clearly conveyed to staff and stakeholders alike.
Within this role you will oversee financial reporting and development, ensuring our organisation remains financially sustainable. This includes managing the budget, preparing reports for the Charities Commission, and liaising with funders to explore new opportunities for grants and funding. Your strategic insights will guide our marketing initiatives, enhancing brand awareness and ensuring our messaging aligns with our mission and values.
In your role, you will have final accountability for recruitment, training, and performance management of all staff, ensuring that our team is well-equipped to deliver care services. You will monitor our impact, implementing necessary changes based on feedback and data to continuously improve our operations. Coaching and mentoring of the Senior Leadership Team is entrusted to this role to develop their professional growth and assist to achieve the organisations objectives.

Requirements of the Role:
• Must have experience of working in adult or children’s social care services
• Experience of leadership of a large multifunctional team
• Experience of developing new services and implementing strategic plans
• Ability to deliver and understand financial, budgetary, profit and loss management reporting
