Chair

Steve left school at 16 becoming a BT Engineer over the next 22 years worked in a wide variety of roles including engineering, customer service and sales.

After completing an MBA, Steve worked for a company which specialised in public sector outsourcing, and thereafter in 2015 joined South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive as Director General.

In 2022, Steve finished full time work and manages his time not only at CTMY, but is also Chair of UK Tram, enabling him to use his experience to give back. He sits on the Finance & Governance Committees and is chair of the Board.

Peter Lyster

Peter Lyster

Vice chair

Peter started his working life at Sainsburys when he was 16, he completed a degree in History in Wales. Peter then went on to work about forty years all of which were in marketing or of something similar. He worked through the era of a rapid digital transformation.

Peter is keen to know all the support and services Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire offer unpaid carers and how this can benefit them. Been a carer himself he wants to give some of his time back to projects that are close to his heart and align with his values and passions.

 

Ovidiu Staicu

Treasurer

Having two masters degrees one in Business Administration and the other in Mechanical Engineering & Economics, Ovidiu has built a career in business, working within multinational corporations.

Working as a trustee in a Multi-Academy Trust, he become interested in working within the care sector after a family member needed the type of care CTMY provides.

As Treasurer Ovidiu also sits on the Finance Committee for the charity.

Tom Carter

Tom Carter

Trustee

A strategic innovative thinker, Tom has worked within private and community invested healthcare during his career to date and is currently working as a Designate Manager in Bupa. Previously he worked on healthcare projects in his employment at Locala CIC throughout West Yorkshire.

Tom is the CTMY Safeguarding representative on the board and also assist on the Quality & Performance Committee.

Rachel Livermore

Working in healthcare throughout her career, and moving to Yorkshire in 2023, Rachel commenced as a hospital manager in the psychiatric sector. Having a diploma in health and economics and a master in public health, Rachel now consults within many sectors including NHS, local authorities, medical and technology.

Previously Rachel has acted as a trustee in the care sector within Camphill Communities in Milton Keynes. At CTMY Rachel is a key member of the Brand & Strategy Committee.

Cheryl Lythgoe

Cheryl Lythgoe

An award winning MSc-trained nurse consultant, Cheryl has over two decades of experience in A&E, general practice, and health care delivery. In such roles Cheryl has put in place quality and safety metrics, clinical governance, as well as working within workforce transformation, procurement, service innovation and delivery.

Cheryl is the Nominated Individual at CTMY and works closely with our Registered Care Managers assisting on the Quality & Performance Committee.
