Childrens Saturday Activity Centre

A dedicated space for your child to learn, play and engage

Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire offers a club, called Finches, for children with additional needs on Saturdays with morning and afternoon sessions tailored to different age groups within Kirklees. Our sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for children with special needs to learn, play, and connect with others.

Ensuring our dedication to support parents, we are OFSTED registered to provide regulated services at the childrens’ centres and staff have to undergo additional training to ensure we can provide the highest levels of support to your children with an outcomes based plan that is individualised.

Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire work with Kirklees Social Services to provide this activity centre, which are split between two sessions.

Dalton (10-1pm) for young adults aged 12-18 years
Dewsbury (2-5pm) for young adults aged 6-11 years

We provide a varying range of activities which include specifics relating to sensory and behavioral need.

In order to access this, it is possible to self-refer for this service directly through us, please do apply below. Once we receive your referral request, we will then conduct an assessment of need so we can plan activities and suitable training methods that are bespoke for your child or young adult.
