Community Outings & Transport

Care is not just within the home

At Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire, we understand that many individuals prefer a balance of activities beyond in-home visits. It’s essential for overall well-being to engage in various outings and community activities. Our care workers are fully insured, allowing them to accompany your loved ones on outings and assist with daily chores.

We can support a range of activities, including:

Shopping: Visits to local community shops and supermarkets

Social Outings: Day trips to parks, museums, or other recreational areas

Personal Care: Not all personal care is within the home, we can assist with any trips to the hairdresser, podiatrist

Medical: As our care workers have appropriate insurance, we are able to accompany our clients to medical appointments

Community Engagement: Visits to local libraries or events

Transport: Our care workers are able to assist in escorting to/from locations, eg school, hospital or other places whereby they are not required to stay for the duration of the time your loved for is there

Additionally, our training includes detailed instructions on moving and handling, ensuring safe assistance with mobility when getting in and out of vehicles. This holistic approach helps promote an active and fulfilling lifestyle for those we care for.

We appreciate that care plans should have social elements to them, please do talk to us about how we can ensure we can help with this need and let us know the type of outing that is required.
