Night care

Getting rest is important

Night time care can present unique challenges, not only can people feel a heightened sense of vulnerability, for carers themselves, this is often the most needed form of respite. At Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire, we recognize the importance of providing the right support in the home, ensuring that individuals feel comfortable and confident with their caregivers.

Overnight care may be suitable for various reasons, including:

Medication Assistance: Ensuring timely medication administration during the night.

Personal Care: Providing help with night time routines and hygiene.

Companionship: Offering emotional support during difficult times or when feelings of loneliness arise.

Respite Break: For carers who are in need of respite for their own health and wellbeing

We provide night time care in two ways: a sleeping or a waking night. Waking nights mean the carer remains awake during the whole duration of their time. Whilst a sleeping night, the carer sleeps through the night assisting when the cared for person awakens. We work closely with families to develop a personalised care plan that suits the individual’s needs, determining the appropriate level of support based on how often assistance may be required.

Our goal is to provide both practical support and peace of mind for clients and their families. If you’d like to learn more about our overnight care services, please do call or contact us for one of our care team to discuss the best option for you.
